Pécs, Hungary

Exploring the ancient Roman town of Pécs (pronounced "paych")

For our first weekend on vacation, we all piled into Dan and Laura's car and drove the approximately 225 km to Pécs. Pécs, is located in the southern Transdanubia region of Hungary. First settled by the Celts and later by the Romans. In Pécs we stayed at a centrally located hotel, Aranyhajo Guesthouse (Hotel Golden Ship), on Kiraly utca, a nice walking street.
