Vacation Days 17 & 18: Wednesday & Thursday, Travel by car from Verona to Salzburg Österreich (Austria).

We drove from the Holiday Inn Est. along Autostrada 4 towards Venezia then turned north towards Udine on the A23  and into Austria near Villach. We arrived in Salzburg around 1800 then went out to dinner.  Due to the late hour, we did not do much sightseeing until Thursday morning. We saw parts of the old town and Mozart's  birthplace and residence, the Hohensalzburg Fortress, and the Residenzplatz. After Salzburg, we drove to Frankfurt where we spent the night before returning to the US on Friday.
